The founding of EuroDaT GmbH will mark the successful conclusion of a two-year funding project of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.

The goal of the international consortium is to create the technological, procedural and legal framework for a data trustee as one of the central building blocks for a European data ecosystem. The basic idea behind EuroDaT is the independent and neutral execution of data transactions.

In 2023, EuroDaT GmbH will go live as Europe's first transaction-based data trustee. EuroDaT GmbH, based in Wiesbaden, will initially be a 100% company of the State of Hesse.
